Event Details
The 21st annual Benefit award will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2008 at the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, and it will honor artist/writer Francisco Letelier and J. Paul Getty's Associate Director Thomas Rhoads.
Music composer and performer Jackson Browne will introduce Francisco Letelier.
This gala benefit attracts up to 300 of the city’s movers and shakers to celebrate the leaders of the local art community. The net percentage of sales will support the operational funds of LA Artcore.
The event starts with a cocktail reception accompanied with a silent auction, (jewelry, crafts and luxury services), followed by dinner and a live art auction conducted by Alex Slato (Vice President of Exhibitions at the Museum of Latin American Art).
The live entertainment will be provided by Ocho X.
This year art selection will include works by artists:
Charles Arnoldi, Judith Baca, Steve Burtch, Elaine Carhartt, Mary Dessert, Edem Elesh, Marla Fields, Eric Goldberg, Ann Gooding, Shingo Honda, Hei Myung Hyun, Tae Ho Kang, Hee Ouk Kim, Yoon Jin Kim, Joyce Kohl, Mitsunori Kurashige, Yun Sun Lee, Peter Liashkov, Lori Lipsman, Kaoru Mansour, Janet Mackaig, Carlo Marcucci, Ed Moses, Ramone Muñoz, Yasunari Nakagomi, Frank Romero, Blandine Saint-Oyant, Mike Saijo, Susan Sironi, Joseph Vorgitz, Efram Wolff, Michael Wood, Geun Taek Yoo, Hiroshi Yoshida, Otto Youngers and a final mystery artwork.
Ticket are $ 100.00 per person ($45 of which is tax deductible).

Through its two art galleries (LA Artcore at Union Center and LA Artcore Brewery Annex) located in Downtown Los Angeles, LA Artcore promotes the work of artists of all ages and diverse cultural backgrounds, and conducts educational service programs that enhance the interaction of artists and their surrounding constituencies.
LA Artcore is dedicated to expanding the interaction between artists and audiences and provide a platform to enhance the exchange of information, ideas and facilitate the awareness of creativity through the 24 shows exhibited annually .
